Introducing an online store: YShop
YShop is an online store by YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. They partner with local businesses, and in return, a percentage of every purchase benefits YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. At the beginning of the project they shared an interesting message with us: “Power of the Purse.” This idea – that we can change the world by being more conscious of what we spend our money on – inspired the visual identity and graphics we created for YShop.
We created a geometric logo in the shape of a purse. The prominent “Y” and the YWCA orange are key elements that make the YShop logo feel like a natural extension of the YWCA brand.
We designed a new homepage along with graphics that are fun and positive-thinking. A palette of bright and energetic colours was chosen to encourage visitors to shop.
“Adi was an integral part of the team when we launched our e-commerce site, www.yshop.org! She truly wanted to understand the experience we wanted to create for our shoppers so that her work could enhance that experience. She went above and beyond to perfect every element for our project. Beyond just design, Adi was interested in understanding our organization’s mission and engagement strategy which really helped bring YShop to life.
